Additional Corrosion Resistance

Updated BF115-BF150 and BF200-BF250 models feature redesigned cylinder head, oil pump, and mount case gasket designs that help prevent galvanic corrosion. Additional improvements, such as fastener materials, internal water passage coatings, additional bonding wires, and anode shape and quantities help provide high corrosion resistance in saltwater applications.

Fresh Water Flushport

A freshwater flush port can be used to flush debris and salt water out of the engine, helping stave off internal corrosion.
