Honda’s BLAST is designed to improve acceleration at low speed.
When you move the throttle quickly, BLAST advances the ignition timing to its maximum.
At the same time the air/fuel ratio becomes richer to prevent knock. Torque is greatly
increased.
The result? Strong acceleration when you need it. And “hole shot” is
vastly improved, as more horsepower gets the hull up on plane quicker.

Sometimes called the flywheel, the torsion dampener is located near the base of
the powerhead.
The design lowers the center of gravity for improved handling, better hull maneuverability,
and minimal vibration.

The BF225 and BF200 feature a narrow, balanced 60° design. This design lacks
the bulk and weight of long intake runners and multi-camshafts.
The compact 24-valve SOHC design offers top performance and durability. It
makes possible twin re-power mounts on traditional 26" centers.
Dual Overhead Cam (DOHC): High horsepower, low maintenance.
BF150, BF135
A powerful, compact 24-valve DOHC design creates more valve lift to pull in more
air for increased horsepower.
The low-maintenance design allows easy adjustment of the rocker arms. No multiple
shims or trial-and-error adjusting needed.

Just like a fuel injection system, autostart enrichment automatically adjusts the
air-fuel mixture for quick, easy starting and warm-up.

A special Power Thrust 4-blade prop on the BFP8-BFP20 and a higher gear ratio on
the BFP60 help provide these engines with extraordinary forward and reverse thrust.

Trim Limit Switch: Protects the engine.
BF60, BFP60
The optional Trim Limit Switch prevents the tilting engine from hitting the underside
of a pontoon boat’s rear sundeck. This option is especially helpful on pontoon
boats and other craft where the engine is not directly visible.
Stainless Steel Components: Corrosion resistant.

Available on our larger HP engines, stainless steel components include the steering
